Annual Report Design in Christ Church, Barbados

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system. The same design principles apply in Christ Church, Barbados: reduce uncertainty in the brief, establish priorities and build only what the project actually needs.

A focused way to begin

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

What should be defined before design?

Collecting final copy, dimensions and image assets early reduces avoidable revision later.

Budget follows the real workload

Extending an existing system and creating a new direction from zero are different types of work.

Keeping the workflow practical

Consolidated feedback makes revision easier to understand and prevents conflicting changes.

Remote collaboration is normal

Most design, web and video projects can be handled remotely through clear files, calls and review rounds.

Design beyond one deliverable

A design system creates value when it can support the next campaign or content update too.

When motion becomes part of the brand, motion graphics and editing can extend the same typography and graphic language into video.
