Annual Report Design in Chuave, Chimbu, Papua New Guinea

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system. The same design principles apply in Chuave, Chimbu, Papua New Guinea: reduce uncertainty in the brief, establish priorities and build only what the project actually needs.

Design with a clear purpose

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

A compact brief is enough

Separating must-have requirements from optional ideas keeps the project focused.

A calmer revision process

Consolidated feedback makes revision easier to understand and prevents conflicting changes.

Design beyond one deliverable

Reusable typography, spacing and component rules make future production faster.

What changes on screen

Different aspect ratios often need a recomposed layout rather than a cropped version.

Files, feedback and calls

Location is usually less important than communication rhythm and clear expectations.

If the brand is changing at the same time, corporate identity design and digital outputs are easier to align when they share one direction.
