Annual Report Design in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration. The same design principles apply in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico: reduce uncertainty in the brief, establish priorities and build only what the project actually needs.

How to frame the project

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

A system that survives the next project

Documenting recurring decisions reduces visual drift when more people work on the brand.

Start with the problem, not the style

Separating must-have requirements from optional ideas keeps the project focused.

Digital use changes the rules

File size and image optimization are part of digital design quality.

Keeping the workflow practical

The first concept is a way to make direction visible. It is better to confirm the overall approach before polishing small details.

Working with a freelance designer

Direct access to the person doing the work can reduce interpretation layers in a freelance setup.

If the brand is changing at the same time, corporate identity design and digital outputs are easier to align when they share one direction.
