Brand Guidelines in Unggai Bena, Eastern Highlands, Papua New Guinea

A useful identity system needs to work at small scale, in one color and across digital and print. A project for Unggai Bena, Eastern Highlands, Papua New Guinea does not need artificial local claims. A clearer approach is to focus on the real communication problem and how the work will be used.

How to frame the project

Brand consistency does not mean every layout looks identical; it means every layout feels related.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

Start with the problem, not the style

Separating must-have requirements from optional ideas keeps the project focused.

What really shapes the scope?

Extending an existing system and creating a new direction from zero are different types of work.

How the project can move forward

The first concept is a way to make direction visible. It is better to confirm the overall approach before polishing small details.

Remote collaboration is normal

Screen sharing can resolve design direction quickly without long meetings.

A system that survives the next project

Consistency is a shared character, not identical layouts.

For product-led businesses, e-commerce management can connect product organization, campaign visuals and store content rather than treating them as separate tasks.
