Brand Identity Refresh in Manatí, Puerto Rico

A useful identity system needs to work at small scale, in one color and across digital and print. A project for Manatí, Puerto Rico does not need artificial local claims. A clearer approach is to focus on the real communication problem and how the work will be used.

Design with a clear purpose

A useful identity system needs to work at small scale, in one color and across digital and print.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

Keeping the brand connected

Documenting recurring decisions reduces visual drift when more people work on the brand.

Start with the problem, not the style

Separating must-have requirements from optional ideas keeps the project focused.

What changes on screen

The same brand can feel consistent across channels without using the same composition everywhere.

From first direction to final files

Clear approval points keep the project from staying open-ended.

Communication is part of the service

Direct access to the person doing the work can reduce interpretation layers in a freelance setup.

If the brand is changing at the same time, corporate identity design and digital outputs are easier to align when they share one direction.
