Brochure Design in Yunnan, China

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system. A project for Yunnan, China does not need artificial local claims. A clearer approach is to focus on the real communication problem and how the work will be used.

How to frame the project

A catalog becomes useful when products are easy to scan and compare.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

What should be defined before design?

Collecting final copy, dimensions and image assets early reduces avoidable revision later.

Budget follows the real workload

Extending an existing system and creating a new direction from zero are different types of work.

How the project can move forward

Delivery formats depend on where the work will live: print, web, social, presentation or video.

Remote collaboration is normal

Screen sharing can resolve design direction quickly without long meetings.

Design beyond one deliverable

A design system creates value when it can support the next campaign or content update too.

If the brand is changing at the same time, corporate identity design and digital outputs are easier to align when they share one direction.
