Catalog Design in Kamina, Haut-Lomami, Democratic Republic of the Congo

Good document design makes reading feel easier even when the reader cannot explain why. The same design principles apply in Kamina, Haut-Lomami, Democratic Republic of the Congo: reduce uncertainty in the brief, establish priorities and build only what the project actually needs.

How to frame the project

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

A compact brief is enough

Separating must-have requirements from optional ideas keeps the project focused.

Keeping the workflow practical

The first concept is a way to make direction visible. It is better to confirm the overall approach before polishing small details.

Communication is part of the service

A good working relationship combines design quality with predictable review and delivery.

Digital use changes the rules

File size and image optimization are part of digital design quality.

Working across locations

Screen sharing can resolve design direction quickly without long meetings.

When motion becomes part of the brand, motion graphics and editing can extend the same typography and graphic language into video.
