Catalog Design in Palauli, Samoa

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration. A project for Palauli, Samoa does not need artificial local claims. A clearer approach is to focus on the real communication problem and how the work will be used.

A practical approach

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

Start with the problem, not the style

Separating must-have requirements from optional ideas keeps the project focused.

Mobile, web and multiple formats

Different aspect ratios often need a recomposed layout rather than a cropped version.

From first direction to final files

The first concept is a way to make direction visible. It is better to confirm the overall approach before polishing small details.

Design beyond one deliverable

A design system creates value when it can support the next campaign or content update too.

Choosing a working model

A portfolio shows visual capability, but communication and process determine how the project feels day to day.

Ongoing content can benefit from freelance graphic design support that builds repeatable rules rather than starting from zero every time.
