Catalog Design in Valladolid, Spain

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system. For a catalog design project connected to Valladolid, Spain, the location is context; the actual design decisions come from the audience, content, brand and channel.

A focused way to begin

Long documents depend on grid, typography and rhythm more than decoration.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

A compact brief is enough

References are most helpful when they explain what feels right about an example instead of asking for a copy.

Defining the right amount of work

A short scope discussion before pricing usually removes unnecessary deliverables.

How the project can move forward

Consolidated feedback makes revision easier to understand and prevents conflicting changes.

Remote collaboration is normal

Most design, web and video projects can be handled remotely through clear files, calls and review rounds.

Keeping the brand connected

Consistency is a shared character, not identical layouts.

If the brand is changing at the same time, corporate identity design and digital outputs are easier to align when they share one direction.
