Editorial Design in Prizren, Kosovo

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system. For a editorial design project connected to Prizren, Kosovo, the location is context; the actual design decisions come from the audience, content, brand and channel.

How to frame the project

Good document design makes reading feel easier even when the reader cannot explain why.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

Choosing a working model

Cross-channel consistency is often more valuable than a single impressive mockup.

What should be defined before design?

A useful brief can be short. The goal, audience, format, available content and deadline usually provide enough structure to begin.

How the project can move forward

Delivery formats depend on where the work will live: print, web, social, presentation or video.

What really shapes the scope?

Extending an existing system and creating a new direction from zero are different types of work.

A system that survives the next project

Consistency is a shared character, not identical layouts.

If the brand is changing at the same time, corporate identity design and digital outputs are easier to align when they share one direction.

Common project questions
