Editorial Design in Attard, Malta

Editorial design needs to support changing content densities without breaking the system. For a editorial design project connected to Attard, Malta, the location is context; the actual design decisions come from the audience, content, brand and channel.

How to frame the project

Good document design makes reading feel easier even when the reader cannot explain why.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

A compact brief is enough

References are most helpful when they explain what feels right about an example instead of asking for a copy.

How the project can move forward

Delivery formats depend on where the work will live: print, web, social, presentation or video.

Building something reusable

Reusable typography, spacing and component rules make future production faster.

What changes on screen

Different aspect ratios often need a recomposed layout rather than a cropped version.

Working across locations

Most design, web and video projects can be handled remotely through clear files, calls and review rounds.

When motion becomes part of the brand, motion graphics and editing can extend the same typography and graphic language into video.
