Retail POSM Design in Svalbard and Jan Mayen Islands

Retail graphics are read while people move, so speed of recognition matters. When retail posm design is needed in Svalbard and Jan Mayen Islands, a useful first step is defining the job before choosing the visual style.

A focused way to begin

Viewing distance should influence type size and image scale.

If the scope crosses disciplines, graphic design, web design, e-commerce design and video editing can be considered as connected parts of one communication system.

Working with a freelance designer

A good working relationship combines design quality with predictable review and delivery.

Start with the problem, not the style

References are most helpful when they explain what feels right about an example instead of asking for a copy.

Keeping the workflow practical

Consolidated feedback makes revision easier to understand and prevents conflicting changes.

Budget follows the real workload

Extending an existing system and creating a new direction from zero are different types of work.

Building something reusable

Reusable typography, spacing and component rules make future production faster.

When motion becomes part of the brand, motion graphics and editing can extend the same typography and graphic language into video.
